Dear Colleagues,
You may not feel that spring is fully here, but it is coming on fast. As the trees bud again, and flowers begin to grow, we can’t resist the urge to put away our winter coats and walk around, shivering slightly, but refusing to go backwards in time. La Casita is open for meetings at 97 Hawley if you are brave enough to start working outside!
While it isn’t yet time for graduations, our students are already marking the fruition of many projects and hitting big milestones in their year. Your work is supporting them to feel those successes and to look forward to something new. You’ll find in this month’s staff newsletter a rich treasure trove of stories about our CES work. HEC Academy students are beginning to take exciting leadership roles in the community, and our After School program is launching a new internship project for high school (HS) students interested in the education field. A CES team of specialists including Rebecca Mazur, Casey Daigle, Sahara Pradhan, and Suzanne Judson-Whitehouse are launching their work on generative artificial intelligence by offering both staff training at CES and a series of events this summer for our larger education community. We’re beginning to prepare for benefits open enrollment, and continuing to work on plans and activities that will take place throughout our 50th anniversary year.
We’re always happy to share news from our programs across the state and important information from the mission-critical folks here in Northampton that provide services to make sure those programs continue running. I thank you all for the work that benefit students and makes success happen. You inspire me every day.
Todd
