Dear Colleagues,
Both life and work are about change. At CES, we are often focused on making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing ourselves, changing ourselves, changing our world. We have many such brand new projects being introduced in January.
Doing things we’ve never done before can be exciting, but also scary. As we step out into a new year to celebrate and share the many new things we’ve made and are making, we challenge ourselves and others to embrace new ways of thinking. We tend to make it sound easy to “think outside the box”, and embrace change. But it can also be hard to leave behind that which is known and comfortable.
I’ve learned that kindness is a foundational part of that work. Sometimes growth is slow, and sometimes painful. But kindness is integral to the success of any change.
I wish for us in this new year that we can step forward with kindness and build our community on that foundation. Happy New Year to you all.
