In April of 2022, a small group of CES employees began meeting on a monthly basis to discuss ways that we can support our agency’s efforts to meet Objective 1.4 of the newly drafted Strategic Plan: Recognizing that climate change impacts both current and future generations of learners, CES will intentionally pursue teaching, learning, and decision-making that applies a climate justice lens.
Mission
The Green Team’s mission is to center sustainability and climate justice principles within CES’s policies, procedures, and operations. Additionally, we support the integration of climate justice education and advocacy into the agency’s work with the diverse communities it serves.
