Dear Colleagues,
Memorial Day this past weekend was the “unofficial” start of summer. As we attended baseball practices and games, picnics and barbecues, we also looked forward to the upcoming graduation celebrations. You will see a few of our CES graduations noted in this week’s newsletter.
Among other meanings, the word graduation means successful completion of a goal or journey. For our graduates, it’s a way to mark the success of their work with an important milestone, before continuing on their life journey. As educators, it’s also important at these times to celebrate our own work to prepare our students not only academically, but through volunteerism, workplace skills development, and the activities that care for our planet and those with whom we share it. The thought, work, creativity and innovation that you have put into your students’ success is also your own to celebrate. You will see in this month’s staff newsletter some of the results of that hard work.
At this time of graduation, I applaud and congratulate you for what lies within you, and what you have instilled in your students.
Todd
