Dear Colleagues,

It’s completely understandable to feel a bit weary right now of the phrase “uncertain times,” especially with next week’s election and the ongoing news cycle. In the face of all that, I hope you will not forget that we all have the capacity for incredible resilience, as long as we take care of ourselves.

At CES, persistence is part of our DNA, and every time we return to the table, we’re working on challenges together. Not every effort may yield immediate success, but each effort takes us a step closer to meaningful change in our students’ lives. As we return to the work again and again, it’s easy to tire. There are moments when a recharge is needed to fuel your creative energy. Please be mindful and seek opportunities to be with each other, to be with yourself, and to tune out the outside world so that you can fill back up again.

The dedication that I see in you every day not only highlights our determination to improve the educational landscape but also reinforces our shared mission of promoting equity and social justice. That can be a tough climb, but I encourage you keep supporting one another in nurturing diverse learners. And if you take a moment on that journey, it won’t stop you from making a difference.

I thank you for your efforts every day, and for continuing to come back to the table.

Sincerely,

Todd
